The whole thing will take place in the ‘picturesque’ lakeside scenery around Zarasia, somewhere in the north-eastern side of the Baltic state, probably too close for comfort to Russia for some.

The event was organized with the help of the MiniPeople Club Lithuania, of course. Founded back in 2008 it now has over 250 members and they will be greeting the visitors from other parts of the world as they arrive.

To go into further details about the location, it is an island that can be reach by road and offers accommodation over night on large camping sites. Therefore, if you have a Mini that can be transformed into a cozy ‘house’, you’ll be feeling right at home there.

There will be live music, sporting competitions and even an orientation rally held as the owners will surely want to boast both their cars and their skills in the proceedings.

An accessories market, slalom races and awards for all kinds of categories will be handed at the end of the four party-filled days. The guest of honor at the IMM 2015 is Finnish “Rally Professor” Rauno Aaltonen, the man who won the Monte Carlo Rally in a classic Mini back in 1967.

The International Mini Meeting has become a tradition over its 37 years of existence, being held for the first time in 1978. As time passed, it has become even a tradition in some families, as the passion for the iconic British car passed over from father to son. One thing’s for sure, it’s going to be great fun!
