The Subaru XV already appeared on the Japanese and European market and it has now arrived in the US as the 2013 XV Crosstrek.
It comes with a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-four engine with only 148 horse power (150 PS). The vehicle has all-wheel drive system via a five-speed manual gearbox offered as standard and it will hit the US showrooms starting this fall.
The 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek is actually just a lifted Impreza hatchback with a few graphic improvements like the new front and rear bumpers, a different grille and new wheels. It offers 22 centimeters (8.7 inches) ground clearance thanks to the reworked suspension.
Subaru informed that the car will do an estimated 25 mpg city, 33 mpg highway and 28 mpg combined. Its pricing has not yet been announced, but based on the fact that a base Impreza hatch costs $18,745 and a Forester $21,370 we expect it to cost somewhere in between.
