Tesla Superchargers Launched in Norway

Are we overhyping the Tesla Model S? We try not to, but there's a good chance this is the car of the future, at least for rich folks.
Here are the facts: the Model S has been on sale in the US for about a year, not counting preorders. In the first three months of 2013, it outsold the Mercedes S-Class, Audi A8 and BMW 7 Series there. Hype or not, people like it!

As sophisticated as people in California are, they have nothing on the Norwegians when it comes to energy efficiency. Despite this country being a major exporter of oil, they get about 50% of their energy from alternative sources. They're also quite rich and the government subsidies for electric cars are among the biggest in the world.

So then, Norway should be like a second home to the Model S. Not surprising the American carmaker began the rollout of its Supercharger network for Europe with this place. In August, Superchargers were energized across the country, connecting Norway's major cities to its capital, Oslo, and allowing Model S owners to travel… for free!

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
