Recognizing that petrol-burning performance cars might be a thing of the past, German tuner and manufacturer BRABUS is trying to make a name for itself with green electric sportscar. It was the first to offer customization of the Tesla Roadster and now the company’s ultra-exclusive TESLA Roadster Sport BRABUS Green Package.

The package includes a quick charging station for the customer’s garage, 30,000 kilometers (18,641 miles) worth of eco-electricity with which to run it and a one-year unlimited-use pass at all public RWE charging stations. Sadly, it is only available in Germany right now, with no clear plans to expand to other countries.

BRABUS decided to take an approach that is quite different from their standard one, recognizing that what customers really need is faster charging and not just better performance from their EV. The RWE-BRABUS quick charging station fully juices the open-top roadster in less than six hours, giving it an operating range of 350 km (220 miles).

The look of the electric sportscar has also been changed by refining the front fascia with an especially light carbon-fiber front lip and LED daytime running lights integrated into the front grille. On the sides of the car we can see underfloor ‘Space Lights,’ that are activated with the keyless fob or by opening a door. In the rear, the BRABUS rear wing and the BRABUS rear diffuser draw the eye’s attention. Both are made from lightweight high-strength carbon fiber. The round taillights are emphasized with color-coordinated applications.

The EV sits on weight-optimized BRABUS Monoblock S alloy wheels,7Jx18 in front and 8.5Jx19 at the rear. The BRABUS customization program for the TESLA Roadster also includes exclusive options for the interior. It begins with scuff plates with illuminated BRABUS logo that are integrated into the top of the rocker panels.

Also, any color request can be created on the sports car, the tuners say. The palette ranges from conventional metallic and non-metallic paints to matte paints and effect paints with genuine crystals.
