We all know what autocross means, right? Sometimes people call it gymkhana, auto-x or autoslalom, but in its essence autocross is a timed competition in which drivers navigate one at a time through a defined course.
It can be done with all sorts of cars, but the most spectacular shows are those where big-engined supercars are involved. However, this is not the place where you'd normally go to see a Tesla Model S, but we live wacky times and yes, a Tesla Model S can autocross, despite some thinking this form of motorsport is only designed for gas-guzzlers.

In fact, the Model S P85D you're about to see in the video below got itself a cool pair of opponents, namely a Maserati GranTurismo and a Nissan R35 GT-R.

The GranTurismo goes first on the course shaped by cones, followed by the Tesla Model S while 'Godzilla' closes the show. Despite being the loudest car out there, the Maserati looks the laziest but with that kind of sound coming from its exhaust we could watch it all day long.

The Model S looks pretty agile as it challenges the course, but despite the electric sedan's blistering performance inside the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) interval, we think the Nissan GT-R aced this contest that required more handling and agility than sheer torque and massive blasting power from a standstill.

You can see the three cars performing in the video below, so feel free to tell us which one did the best job in your opinion.
