Tesla Model S P85D Delivery Video - Everything About the Supercar Killer

Tesla is a good example of a company that has thought outside the box and won. From a relatively small firm, they are now worth $27 billion at the stock exchange and the future is looking brighter than ever. In fact, they might as well make a movie about this thing, just like they did with Zuckerberg and Jobs.
While we wait for that to happen, we might as well check out what the internet has filed, right? This next clip is 40 minutes of footage from the delivery of a brand new Model S P85D. This is a twin-motor version of the electric sedan and has become famous for winning drag races against some of the most amazing supercars on the planet.

That's definitely a Gen Y sort of car and it deserves a Gen Y buyer, right? It just happens that the guy behind the camera is Allen Wong, a 22-year old app developer who also owns a Lamborghini Aventador and has done most of the P95D drag races you've been watching. He's a Google Glass sort of guy and knows all about the features on his Silicone Valley car.

With all the options added, the flagship tesla model retails for $130,000 plus sales taxes which are canceled by the $7,5000 EV rebate. That gets you a 4,936 lbs (2,239 kg) sedan that gets from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.2 seconds. A new over-the-air software update has ensured that time has dropped to 3.1 seconds. Patch 6.1 also reduces charging times, increase the range and adds remote start using a smartphone app.

So did we learn anything from the 40-minute delivery vehicle? Yes. For instance, the charging cable on the Tesla Model S has 3 different adapters, which explains why you can "fill'er up" using superchargers or other public stations. It also has a feature where you can set how high the trunk lifts and the cap for the charger closes automatically. There are other cool features, but we'll let you car geeks discover them at your leisure.
