Tesla Motors is investigating a fire involving a Model S sedan in Canada, Bloomberg reports, quoting Business Insider.
The fire occurred earlier this month in Toronto, shortly after the owner returned from a drive. Details are limited, but it appears that the EV was unplugged when the fire broke out.

Tesla has yet to determine how it began, but claims the fire “did not originate in the battery, the charging system, the adapter or the electrical receptacle, as these components were untouched by the fire.”

The Palo Alto-based manufacturer has offered to take care of the damages caused by the fire, but the owner declined, Business Insider added.

Three Tesla Model S sedans caught fire last year in the United States and Mexico in less than six weeks, prompting the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to launch an investigation.
