Last year, Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk revealed that his company is working on a new, affordable all-electric vehicle for the masses.
Rumored to be launched with the Model E name at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show, the sedan will be smaller than the Model S, wll have a range of about 200 miles and will cost less than $40,000.
Although Musk said the Model E won’t be just a smaller Model S as far as styling is concerned, the new EV will most likely borrow some cues from the company’s large sedan.
Although Tesla has yet to provide any hints or renderings, we’re now able to see how the new vehicle might look like thanks to automotive manipulator Theophilus Chin, who decided to take matters into his own hands by using the Tata Pr1ma concept as a base.
“I referred heavily from the Pininfarina-design Tata Pr1ma concept. I’ve lowered and stretched the Pr1ma so to make it look sleeker and meaner. I still think looks a bit too tall,” he says.
