I hope you agree with me in saying that when Elon Musk sees it fit, Tesla will deliver an electric motorcycle. It doesn't even have to bear the same name because, in the end, there are so many other things that matter more than a simple badge.
28-year-old London-based designer Jans Slapins anticipated a bit Tesla's potential move and offers us a rendering of what a T-badged e-bike might look like. A wild guess and a shot in the dark - yes, but an interesting starting point for more refined works in the future nonetheless.

If the overall shapes look somewhat familiar, you'll most likely find similarities with a real-world electric bike from across the English Channel, the Voxan Wattman.

The beginning looks promising

By far a better interpretation of the compact design of the Wattman than the would-be Koenigsegg Lotus C-01 copy imagined by Burov Art, Jans' Tesla needs improvements.

I can't tell how much time Jans spent in the saddle of a bike if any at all, but his Tesla lacks in the seating department. The fact that he imagined the bike as a solo electric muscle machine is alright, but having a 1.90m, 110 kg (6'3", 243 lb) rider in the saddle looks more like a punishment and nothing like good times rolling.

The ergonomics of such a machine need to be refined a bit, while the position of that monoshock doesn't look too convincing. Linkage assemblies are more and more complex (if used) and we can almost say that the trend in rear suspensions is to have them as close to horizontal as possible, off-set, and even working in extension instead of compression.

All in all a neat debut in the field from Jans Slapins, and a good incentive to follow his future works, too.
