US-based electric car manufacturer Tesla has delivered the first Model S outside its home North American market. The EV was acquired by Norwegian Frederic Hauge who received the sedan at Tesla’s showroom in Oslo.
"As Europe's first owner of the Tesla Model S, I am very proud to be a pioneer with absolutely no risk. (...) I have waited long and been frustrated at times, but it means nothing anymore, now that I've got my own Model S. This car is a ‘gamechanger’ in terms of transport, energy and the environment. For me as environmentalist, this is a great day,” said Hauge, who was also the owner of the first electric vehicle imported into Norway in 1989.

Tesla also revealed that new Model S event deliveries for customers are planned later this month in Zurich (Switzerland) and Tilburg (the Netherlands).

According to the company, Model S pricing starts at NOK446,600 in the Scandinavian country, which means about €56,722 at current exchange rates.
