You should already know Terry Hershner from his previous electric motorcycle adventures, including continental crossing and long-range touring. Well, it looks like Terry's cross-country riding is gradually transforming him into an electric racing pioneer, especially after he placed second in a Canada to Mexico all-electric rally.
The first week of July saw Hershner riding all the way from British Columbia to Tijuana, Mexico aboard his 2012 Zero S, now heavily modified by the aerodynamics guru Craig Vetter.

Terry was the second fastest vehicle and completed the 4 stages in 52 hours, 11 hours behind the winner Tesla Model S. Quite a beating, some might say... and be wrong: Terry was indeed late for a win, but he was still fastest than the other 7 electric cars racing in this event.

Craig Vetter bestowed his custom magic on terry's Zero S and endowed it with a top-notch aerodynamic bodywork. Not exactly the most fashionable attire, but we never heard Terry saying he would ride to a beauty contest.

Quite the opposite, he's all after efficiency and speed, and the bodywork bulk also hides extra batteries and chargers. A big hand for Terry's accomplishment and for him dedicating his spare time to promote electric vehicles. Find out more about the BC2BC rally here.
