TeenTrackAttack - Supercar Driving for Kids

If your bank accounts haven't yet been touched by the financial crisis and you consider yourself a wealthy parent, why not give your kid the chance to get behind the wheel of one of the supercars offered by the 6thGear Experience?

Though we don’t agree with rich parents that buy powerful sports cars to their children who then mistake the streets for a racing circuit, ending up in serious crashes, this TeenTrackAttack program might be just what Top Gear’s teen fans needed, Jalopnik reported.

It doesn’t matter whether you are a boy or a girl, as long as you are at least 4ft 10ins tall and can reach the pedals. Real supercars, such as an Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Ferrari and Audi R8 are just waiting for you to experience driving the latest and fastest motoring exotica.

All cars feature an automatic gearbox, so no previous driving experience is necessary, although more confident drivers can also choose to change gears. Cars are also fitted with dual controls and an experienced instructor sitting alongside in the passenger seat will take care so that everything goes well. Safety helmets are provided.

The instructor ensures that vehicle speed is controlled to match the driver's capability. Most young drivers reach an average speed of around 35mph, although with practice and confidence they can go faster.

‘Hot Laps' are available for a high-speed passenger trip in a Lamborghini with a qualified driver. Every participant is given a certificate to mark their special drive, and memories can be taken home thanks to the professional photographers.

6th Gear Experience currently operates from two principal tracks, at Prodrive, Kenilworth, Warwickshire, and Elvington Airfield, York. Two new locations, near London and Manchester will soon be available as well. Your kid’s driving experience costs just £89.
