German manufacturer BMW is looking into developing an entire near zero-emission range within a few years to tackle the growing demand both from consumers and legislators. The new vehicle, code named Megacity, is under research from the company's Project i. "With the Megacity vehicle we are pursuing a radical approach toward establishing a truly sustainable value chain - from development to production and sales," Norbert Reithofer, BMW chairman told just-auto.com. The project follows the trend set by the company's Mini electric vehicles, currently under testing in the United States.
