Tata Working With French Company to Create Sub- €16,000 / $20,000 EV

After recently showing off the plug-in hybrid version of the Jaguar XJ, Tata Motors (owners of Jaguar-Land Rover) are continuing their green plans with something at the opposite end of the scales - a sub- €16,000 (-$20,000) EV, called the eMO, a car with quirky design touches tiny size.

The highlight of the design will be pillarless suicide doors, which will not only look cool, but will also aid practicality, in a similar manner to the Opel Meriva, a car one can very easily get in and out of. These innovative and interesting ideas are the brainchild of French company, Dassualt Systems, and we all know that French design may be odd at first, but it steadily grows on you, until you begin to like it.

The eMO will draw power from a rather small, if you ask us, 18.4 kWh battery pack, which, according to the manufacturer, will provide up to 160 km (100 miles) of driving before needing a top-up. No official information on when the car will be ready, but judging by what we have come to understand, it is under development and very promising, so we can just sit and wait until it surfaces.
