Tata Launches Limited Edition Indica Vista
Nearly 150,000 units were delivered in 2006, Tata said, with the latest Indica model still gaining an impressive market audience despite the economic downturn that smashed car sales all around the world.

Tata Indica was first launched on December 30, 1998 and was regarded as the most modern car designed by an Indian company. Mostly characterized by low prices and spacious interiors, Tata Indica quickly became the most attractive model in its segment, with nearly 120,000 orders in the first weeks of availability. An electric version of Indica, powered by lithium-ion batteries, is expected to arrive on the market as soon as mid-2009.
