Suzuki Hayabusa Celebrates 10th Anniversary
Hayabusa became so popular that it still is the preferred choice of drag racers all over the world, albeit the model remained faithful to its original concept, undergoing only one major update since then.
As for its 10th anniversary event, that runs as part of the final round of the ACU and Straightliners drag championships, the riders will be given the opportunity to take part in a drag racing for £30, or to test ride numerous Suzuki models, including B-King, the ‘naked Hayabusa’.
“Naturally we’re delighted to confirm this special event at Santa Pod to celebrate ten years of the Hayabusa. It’s an iconic machine that has captured the hearts of thousands of riders across the globe, and so it’s only fair we honour it in this way, while we thank those who have made it so successful,” commented Suzuki GB marketing manager, George Cheeseman, in a statement for the press.
Admission costs £10 per day, with children under 16 free, while a weekend ticket costs £25 with camping from Friday evening provided free of charge. Unlimited track action costs £30 per day. However, participants of the test ride must bring both parts of driving license to qualify.
