SuperMartxe by Paris Hilton Moto2 Team Tests in Valencia

The first official training sessions in 2011 in the 125cc category held at Ricardo Tormo track in Cheste, Valencia, have ended successfully for the team SuperMartxe by Paris Hilton. Team riders, Maverick Vinales and Sergio Gadea rode for an average 60 laps a day with a very satisfying performance.

Although he is participating in the Motorcycling World Championship for the first time, Vinales has been among the best of the category throughout the three-day session.

“I have managed to adapt very quickly to the motorbike and I am very glad because I have felt very at ease throughout these three days. I have been riding with the best pilots in the world on an equal footing achieving the same times as them and feeling very comfortable in their company,”
Maverick Vinales stated for the media.

“The whole team has worked hard and very well and I am very pleased with this first contact -we can really get on well- and I think both mechanics and technicians know exactly what they are doing. It’s a very encouraging and positive start. If we go on like this we can become really competitive and I’d really like to compete with the best. Nevertheless it’s far too early to set goals as this is my first season at the World Championship and it’s just started,”
added Vinales.

As for Gadea, his times were not as good as him teammate’s, as he had to get used to the 2T bike after he has competed on 4T engines last year.

“There is a huge difference between 4Ts and 125ccs and when I rode a 125cc again it felt as though I couldn't ride a motorbike. Anyway slowly but surely I am getting more and more used to it,”
said Sergio Gadea. ”Things went quite well on Thursday and Friday and even if our times weren’t very good we rode at a satisfactory pace and we ended up in the top 5. However I have found it very hard to do better today and I lagged a bit behind the leaders. My first contact with the team has been really satisfying. If we always work the way we have here I am sure we'll be competitive and we'll achieve the best results.”
