Almost two years ago, the folks over at Late Model Racecraft built this monster of a Chevrolet Camaro. Based on the fourth-generation pony, the highly modified vehicle became the fastest standing mile Camaro with a top speed of 253.1 miles per hour.
The record still stands and it’ll probably take a while until someone builds a proper contender, but it doesn’t there aren’t other insanely fast Camaros that are worth watching. Take Chris Coulter’s Camaro SS for instance, a fifth-generation model that does 204.5 mph in the standing mile with help from a Kenne Bell supercharger and a nitrous system.

With the tweaked LS3 engine pumping no less than 940 horsepower and 960 pound-feet of torque, Coulter’s Camaro takes off like a rocket and breaks the 200 mph barrier without much effort. Scroll below to watch its Texas Mile run.
