Subaru XV Coming to US as XV Crosstrek
text size: A- A+
The info was confirmed by Subaru’s Tom Doll during a presentation held at the LA event, with the company explaining that the move is aimed at further differentiating the vehicle from the Impreza on the US market.
The XV Crosstrek, which is scheduled to hit the marker as a 2013 model, will replace the Outback Sport. The US version should be pretty similar to the European one we know, but the engine range should be different.

Love this car...but wish they would have kept the Outback Sport name alive. Add a couple flashback hood vents and this thing would be even better. Seriously though, this will fill a nice hole in the US Scoobie lineup.
