The LA Auto Show is not only a good occasion to meet a lot of fresh metal, but also gives us the possibility to find out what’s coming next. The latest example of such a development is the Subaru XV, a crossover based on the Impreza, which made its debut at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show and is now set to come to the US under the XV Crosstrek name.
The info was confirmed by Subaru’s Tom Doll during a presentation held at the LA event, with the company explaining that the move is aimed at further differentiating the vehicle from the Impreza on the US market.
The XV Crosstrek, which is scheduled to hit the marker as a 2013 model, will replace the Outback Sport. The US version should be pretty similar to the European one we know, but the engine range should be different.
