Subaru Releases JDM Legacy Touched by STI

Just after Subaru managed to claim the record for the fastest production sedan ever to lap the Nurburgring Nordschelife, posting a 7 minutes and 55 seconds lap time with the 2011 Impreza WRX STI Sedan, the division that made the achievement possible, Subaru Tecnica International, announces that it has developed factory-tuned versions of the Legacy B4 Sedan and the car's estate version. The vehicles are only destined for the Japanese domestic market.

The Legacy 2.5 GT tS is based on the 2.5 GT S package and brings handling,exterior and interior modifications, as well as a new exhaust. So, the Impreza’s big brother has not received any additional horses. But let’s move on with the list of mods.

The vehicle has been fitted with a Bilstein suspension, a set of strut tow bars, a sport exhaust systems, as well as 18-inch rims that come in an 18-inch size, use a multispoke design and are wrapped in 225/45 R18 tires.

The exterior modifications include a new front lip spoiler for both models, as well as a discreet boot lid spoiler for the sedan and a roof spoiler for the Touring Wagon.

The car’s interior has received many sporty elements including a set of sport seats finished in Alacantra and leather, which comes with contrasting stitching, a modified instrument cluster, carbon trimmings that use a titanium finish, a leather package for the steering wheel and gearbox lever (this uses red stitching) and STI floor mats.

Only 600 units of the the Legacy 2.5 GT tS will be built with the prices starting at 4,029,900 Yen (around $44,000) for the Sedan and at 4,187,400 Yen (around $46,000) for the Touring Wagon.
