Japanese automaker Subaru has announced the introduction of the limited run XV Black Edition model on British market. Priced from £24,495, the XV Black comes in an exclusive Crystal Black Silica paint and features a number of visual additions that “boost the car’s rugged, go-anywhere appeal”.
Exterior updates include silver-resin underguards added at the front, the rear and on the side, front and rear mudflaps, a cargo step panel, and a foldable cargo tray, while the interior gets heavy-duty rubber floor mats. Based on the SE model, the Black Edition is also fitted with the company’s array of standard features, such as Vehicle Dynamics Control, 17-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, cruise control, rear privacy glass and front/side/curtain/knee airbags.
Moving over to powertrains, the all-wheel drive XV Black is available with either the 2.0-liter diesel engine connected to a six-speed manual gearbox or the 2.0-liter petrol unit mated to a Lineartronic automatic transmission. The latter is priced from £24,495, while the manual comes is on sale with a sticker set at £24,995.
