Subaru Australia Appoints New Senior Executives
The company’s marketing operations will be supervised by Andrew Caie from now on (the new General Manager - Marketing), while Gary Watson has been appointed to the newly created role of General Manager - Aftersales.
Caie has been active in the marketing & sales field for over 20 years, working for companies such as Toyota, McDonalds, DDB and AMP. The executive has already joined the company in his new position.
Watson rejoins Subaru Australia after four and a half years as Dealer Principal of Subaru Melbourne, with his previous role for Subaru being National Sales Manager.
“We're thrilled to have Andrew and Gary heading up our Marketing and Aftersales teams. Both have broad experience in the corporate and retail environment and their extensive automotive backgrounds will undoubtedly help strengthen and grow our business,” said Nick Senior, Managing Director, Subaru Australia.
In addition to that, Subaru Australia announced the retirement of Derek Ashby, National Customer & Technical Services Manager. The executive has been part of the company for 33 years and has made important efforts for the carmaker’s safety department, as well as helped with the development of local testing programs for new models and locally developed special editions.
“Derek's wealth of experience and knowledge will be sorely missed. His passion and dedication to the Subaru brand has been instrumental in the success we’ve had over the last decade and his commitment to developing driver's' cars is unparalleled,” said Nick Senior.
