Steenstra Styletto, Another Eco-Friendly Supercar
The Stlyetto is, according to the little information available, a two seater, which features an "extremely aerodynamic body" with gull-wing doors. Apparently, it can do 200 mph (322 km/h) and above without sweating too much.
And it has a goal. Forget about taking it slow, one step at a time, learn and than go for the kill. No, Styletto sets its sights high and targets, no more and no less, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche (a hint on the price tag, plus the few tens of thousands extra for the "eco" part).
"I grew up with a passion for transportation and motor racing, and have always felt that people should and could enjoy driving passionate performance automobiles while still retaining their responsibility toward the environment. These are desires that can very well be enjoyed together" Steenstra said in a release.
The supercar is not quite yet production-ready, due to lack of funds. Steenstra is in the process of securing financing from one or several investment groups. A drivable version is hoped to be ready in time to take part in the 2010 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
Production is scheduled for...2013. By then, we will all use the phrase "Beem me up, Scotty," as a mean of transportation. Perhaps...
