Unlike BMW, who only brought out a few engine versions of the F30 3 Series, Mercedes is going all-out with a full range of engines for the new generation of the C-Class sedan. This explains why sighting of the car are so frequent, since they have to make so many prototypes.
This white example wearing very little camouflage was spotted recently in Germany. Just like the previous generations, the C-Class looks like a baby-S-Class, with the headlights and taillights looking remarkably similar to their flagship model.
As for the rest of the W205's body, we see a distinct change towards the practical side. The rear deck is much shorter, since the passenger compartment has been enlarged towards the back of the car, creating much needed extra headroom.
The engine range for the W205 will start with 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol and diesel units, the latter being a newcomer to Mercedes' rage borrowed from Renault. Another new engine will be a twin-turbo V6 going into the C400. Also expected to come out next year is the new C63 AMG powered by twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 rated at 465 hp.
