We’ve recently published our 2014 Range Rover Sport test drive, but the vehicle is yet to be 100 percent revealed to us, as Land Rover is currently out testing the upcoming range-topper, the Range Rover Sport RS.
The prototype was spied while lapping the Nurburgring and the photos show us some new details. The front apron comes with generously-sized air intakes. These may impress in the parking lot, they’re p[primarily used to feed that supercharged 5.0-liter V8 under the hood.
While the standard Supercharged model delivers 510 HP, the RS version should come with 550 HP, as Land Rover follows Jaguar’s power scheme.
At the back, we see a massive diffuser-like element, which also houses a reworked exhaust. It seems that the people over at Land Rover have a fetish for outlandish exhausts on prototypes. If you don’t believe us, you can check out our Range Rover Sport Spyshots published back in October 2011, revealing an extremely amusing exhaust.
