Malaysian carmaker Proton has not given up on selling its cars to a global audience, despite a through mocking on Top Gear a few years back. Their new product that's been dubbed GSC, short for Global Small Car, is getting being prepared just for that role. Seen here undergoing winter testing in theNorthern part Sweden, near the Arctic circle, the car appears to be somewhere between the A- and B-segments, a bit like the Nissan Micra or Mitsubishi Mirage.
Our spy photorapher says the prototype is being tested by Continental for its ESP system, crucial if this small car doesn't want to be humiliated by Euro NCAP.

The car will most likely arrive as a replacement for the Savvy and is rumored to be on its way to the Geneva Motor Show, although the actual market debut might come a little later.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
