Peugeot is preparing to blow some magic dust over its 5008 MPV, which was launched back in 2009, with the company now testing a new generation of the vehicle.
The new 5008 will be underpinned by a wider platform, as you can see in the adjacent spy photos, which show beefier wheel arches. In fact, the 5008 is expected to grow in size and especially make better use of its interior space in order to be able to perfectly cater to the transportation needs of seven persons.
However, the vehicle should be lighter than its current incarnation, as Peugeot is looking to use special materials in order to increase efficiency. Under the hood, we’ll find a range of engines shared with the future 301, the replacement for the 308. To be more precise, customers will get to choose between petrol and diesel units, as well as diesel-hybrid incarnation.
