While its launch is still a good two years away, the all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class is out and about, being tested while under heavy camouflage. Thankfully, though, the day it was spotted had excellent lighting conditions, and more of the car’s shapes are visible.
First off, don’t expect the new C-Class to be revolutionary in any way. Picture the front fascia already grafted onto the new ML, A-Class and B-Class, adapted to the current C-Class which is slightly lower and wider, and you’ll be 75% there - the new S-Class also sports the same look.

The rear also seems to feature some rather curvy light clusters, similar in shape to those of the CLS, but probably with fewer LEDs. On the inside, Mercedes-Benz will give the C-Class the new family look, already seen on the new SL, SLK, A- and B-Class.

Engines-wise, expect more power and lower fuel consumption and emissions, as well as a possible ‘green’ version which may be a hybrid or a an all-electric car, and considering the fact that Mercedes-Benz are already working with Tesla Motors on the development of an all-electric car, it really could go either way - they need to take the fight to BMW, with their new 335 hp hybrid 3-Series.
