Spyshots: MINI Clubman S Facelift
Details are unavailable for the time being but, as we can all notice in the spyshots, the only "improved" feature of the car is actually the front bumper which wears a tiny camouflage, probably hiding additional air-channels for cooling the brakes.
Going the supposition way, we could assume that MINI isn't testing the upcoming Clubman S but rather a brand new engine, similar to the one of the Countryman, that could be fitted on this particular model. In this case, the aforementioned air intakes integrated into the front bumper would make even more sense, as such an addition would be almost a must-have if the car is equipped with a more powerful engine.
And speaking of Countryman, the car will be offered with a choice of three petrol and two diesel engines, with power outputs ranging from 90 hp (MINI One D Countryman) to 184 hp (MINI Cooper S Countryman). The 1.6-liter unit, available on all the other S versions in the MINI lineup, develops 184 horsepower on the Countryman.
Nevertheless, MINI will most likely put things straight at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March.
