2013 is the year that Mercedes will renew its family of sedan and coupes. We’re waiting on no less than four new models, from the small CLA four-door coupe to the new S-Class. The E-Class is technically a facelift, but so much will change that it might as well be a different car.
Our latest spy photos show that the side profile stays the same, but the front and rear bumpers are brand new, taking inspiration from the F800 concept. The headlights are also new, a single piece unit with tapered shapes, much like on the ML.
The engine range is most likely going to be revised as well. A 3-liter turbo V6 will likely be introduced, offering 333 PS and plenty more torque than the 3.5-liter in the 350 model. However, this will likely be kept, as will the range topping E500. In fact, the E-Class has one of the longest list of engine–transmission–drivetrain combinations.
