A prototype for the revised Mercedes Benz E-Class has shed enough camouflage for us to see what the facelift will bring. As the photos of this coupe show, the E-Class will finally get rid of the strange double headlights. Right now, a bit of camo is making us believe they’re still split, but the assembly is simpler and more elegant.
The four-headlight look has been with the E-Class since the 1995 W210, but the design is especially ugly on the angular current generation and has been frequently criticized. The LED daytime driving lights will be integrated in the headlight unit as well.
Revisions to the front bumper aren’t that substantial, though they are enough to distinguish this from the outgoing model. The rear bumper will also be refreshed, while the taillights will likely only change the graphics.
