We've known that Mercedes was planning an S-Class Cabriolet for quite some time now, and all this while the idea seemed strange. But today, we saw an undisguised S63 AMG Cabriolet, and it looks… like it belongs.
The front end of the car is completely revealed. But, of course, it doesn't need to be hidden since the fascia is identical to that of the coupe down to the smallest detail. Of course, nobody is complaining since the S-Coupe is one of the most stunning vehicles ever made in Germany.

The back is camouflaged, but there aren't any significant changes there either, just that the top of the boot is flatter and longer to compensate for the boot opening mechanism.

No big surprises are expected under the bonnet either. The S63 AMG should continue to employ the current 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 585 horsepower. Both rear-wheel drive and 4Matic models should be expected, but there might be an availability problem in right-hand drive models.

We have no confirmation of this fact, but knowing Mercedes-Benz, there should be an S65 AMG Convertible model. With options and that massively impressive 6-liter V12 engine, you could be looking at a €300,000 car that gives Bentley sleepless nights.

It's not like all the other versions of the S-Class Cabriolet will be cheap either. For example, the "entry level" model S500 with the 455 horsepower and the 9-speed automatic will be about €140,000. We've yet to meet any Mercedes-Benz owners who don't like any options, and there will be plenty of those.

From Swarovski crystals in the headlights to brightly colored leather interiors, the sky will be the limit. What sets the model apart from the all-aluminum SL Roadster? The fact that it has four full seats and its overall comfort experience.
