McLaren is currently working to bring us the third vehicle in its lineup, the P13 entry-level model. We had seen the P13 testing at the Nurburgring before, but now our spies have snapped it while out performing some chassis testing.
As you can see, this is a test mule, wearing a McLaren MP4-12C body. However, the added fender work up front means that they’ve probably done something to the front tracks.
In addition, the wheelbase also seems to have been changed - it appears that it’s now a bit longer than before, even though it’s hard to tell exactly.
Even though the McLaren P13 will be slotted under the MP4-12C, we expect it to play in a leguae somewhere in between the sportscar and the supercar world - this is simply McLaren’s way.
The P13 is expected to delivers some 450 HP when it comes to the market. The Brits should show us the vehicle next year, with the market launch possibly set for 2015.
Rumor has it that the McLaren P13 will come with a toll of about GBP120,000. That could be translated into a price of EUR140,000 in Europe, but we’re expecting it to retail for less than the converted $195,000 in the US.
