Kia's approach to creating a lifestyle vehicle took a little bit of inspiration from the MINI, a bit more from crossovers and more affordable prices for younger people who want to be hip but can't afford a Cooper.
The boxy Soul was a big success for them. It's the second best selling Kia in the US, but its success is global. The current Soul was lunched in 2009 and has received a few tweaks here and there.

But now, Kia will try and completely change the Soul to better match the cee'd and the rest of the range. The new-for-2014MY Soul has once again been spotted testing, this time in Sweden. The car is still heavily camouflaged, but seems to have embraced the new elongated headlight design , as well as tapered tiger-nose grille. We can also see fresh LED accent lights at the top of the headlights peaking from under the covers, indication this is likely the highest trim level model we're looking at.

A look round the back of the prototype leads us to believe that both the taillights and the shape of the bumper have changed, especially since the cutouts for the reflectors are in a different place.

The engine range will likely be the same as before with the exception of the introduction of start/stop technology. There’s also an off chance they will be making a hot version of the car using the same 1.6 turbo GDI used by car like the new Forte 5-Door and the Veloster Turbo.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
