Jaguar may have convinced you it knows how to make a good villain with its F-Type commercials, but out spy photographers have recently encountered the ultimate villain, the F-Type R-S.
The hottest Jaguar F-Type version so far is the 510 hp V8 S, while the Coupe takes things one level beyond this, with the aforementioned R incarnation, which treats the driver with 550 hp. Well, the F-Type RS should take the game close to 600 hp. As the outgoing Jaguar XK has taught us, the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 always has plenty of extra resources to offer.

There are a few pretty obvious clues giving away the extra performance here. First of all, the front splitter is more aggressive than before and, like any proper beard, this will make the F-Type look even more masculine.

Then we have the brakes, which appear to be carbon-ceramic units. The calipers, which are finished in Yellow, come to confirm this.

The vehicle spied here is a Convertible, but the Coupe should also receive the R-S moniker. Of course, Jaguar could decide to play with out minds and offer non-matching Coupe and Convertible models. In this case, the F-Type Coupe could received the rumored F-Type R-S GT model. While having the ahem... actual... ultimate villain version on the coupe, which is more driver-focused by default, make sense, we are still years away from finding out if this will actually happen.

As for those who don’t want to be so cunning, Jaguar was recently spotted testing what we expect to be a four-cylinder F-Type.
