Romania’s Automobile Dacia factory in Pitesti is getting ready for the launch of a new Logan budget sedan for the European market. Generally speaking, even though the current model is 8 years old now, the new one will share some of its components in order to keep costs down.
Thanks to our men with long camera lenses, we are able to show you the Logan 2 without the heavy camouflage that was seen last time. Obviously, the design is simple and very basic, but we can enjoy the new grille of the car and the more elegant headlights.
Renault plans to invest €250 million in Romania this year. This will result in a 30 percent increase in production, new stamping lines and the doubling of the aluminum smelting capacity. Dacia will also start producing the new turbo H4 engine range - a 0.9-liter three-cylinder with 90 PS and a 1.2-liter with 115 PS. Both of these will also be used by the new Renault Clio as well.
