Aston Martin is expected to launch a successor to the DB9 in the course of the following year and our team of spy photographers has recently caught the vehicle while it was out for cold weather testing.
The vehicle will be improved from all points of view and the British engineers start with the weight - the chassis will be revised, so the vehicle will shed some pounds, with this bringing benefits in terms of both dynamics and efficiency.
As for the V12 engine that will power the car, no details are known, but we can expect the unit to be seriously updated so that it not only offers more power, but also a superior efficiency.
All the aforementioned tech goodies will be wrapped in a package that, as you can see in the adjacent images will use traditional Aston styling cues. The spied prototype shows certain Rapide-inspired elements, such as the bumper-mounted b=number plate and the headlights.
Like we said, the details on the project, which uses the VH500 internal code, are limited, but we’ll be back with more as soon as we get our hands on them.
