Spyshots: Alfa Romeo 4C Scooped
So what can we expect? Well, when Alfa first showed the 4C as a concept, they said it would have 300 horsepower and would weight just under a metric ton due to extensive use of carbon fiver. We're not so sure they can pull all that off. More recent reports suggest the aluminium-block turbo 1.8-liter engine will actually make more like 240 horsepower, though some suggest as little as 200.
This output discrepancy clearly has something to do with the price of the car, with the obvious comparison being Porsche's Boxster (261 hp) and Boxster S (311 hp). The idea being that Alfa will probably offer a less powerful entry model and a 300 hp range-topper.
Cosmetic-wise, even thought the 4C is hiding under a load of camo, there doesn't seem to be anything different from the concept that make its debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. Hopefully, they'll go full circle and unveil the production model in at 2013 Geneva, because we just can't wait any more.
