While we were pondering the changes BMW and MINI are preparing for us, out of the blue came a message from our trusted spies saying they'd captured the MINI Cooper, the new one.
This car is supposed to come out on November 18th, and ahead of that debut date they're filming a promo vehicle with this sick-looking machine, tailed by a Porsche Cayenne camera car.

From the hood scoop and the double exhaust… and the S badges, we know for certain this is the new Cooper S hatch. Powering it is a new 2.0-liter turbo four cylinder, rated at 192 PS or 189 hp US. Twisting force is 280 Nm and can be boosted to 300 Nm using overboost.

The current model has a 1.6-liter turbo engine making 184 hp and 240 Nm of torque. Despite the bigger engine and increase in power, they say fuel efficiency is better.

Newly developed manual and automatic gearboxes, both six-speed units, will further improve fuel efficiency and deliver sporty pleasure.

We almost forgot to talk about the looks, didn't wee? It's over a decade since they relaunched the brand, and this car has graduated, got its masters and is off to the corporate world, while partying like a rock star on the weekends. But what do you guys thing?

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
