The W205 C-Class' cabin looks like the product of some quality time spent together by the new A-Class and S-Class. This brings a noticeable boost in quality. The premium feel seems to be pretty strong here, but the all-serious lines of the S-Class are tamed by accents borrowed from the A-Class.

That tiny Comand screen at the top of the center console is replaced with the tablet-style display, while the controller for the Command uses the design shown by that of the 2014 S-Class.

Despite the rather compact size of the car, the gear shifter has now moved to the steering column. This means fans of the center console arrangement will have to wait for the AMG shifter.

The new generation of the Mercedes C-Class is expected to make its debut in January 2014, at the Detroit Motor Show. As for the rest of the models in the range, such as the C63 AMG or the T-Modell (wagon), these should debut later in the following year.
