Spyshots: 2015 Chrysler 200 / Lancia Flavia in the Sheetmetal
Even though the car is still heavily camouflaged, we can make out that the 200 will be a lot sexier than the current Sebring-based car. The curvature of the roof is really long, following the trend recent trend for four-door coupe bodies.
Chrysler has let slip that the 200 will point the way to a new design language for the American brand. We can make out the new sedan will be less of an old man's car, with a much smaller upper grille and larger lower one to create a sport look.
From what we can see peaking from under the camo, we'd say the design is similar to Joe Dehner's 2013 Dodge Dart, but with more style.
Speaking of sharing within the Chrysler group, the engines for the 200 should come from the Dart and Jeep Cherokee – a 2.4-liter Tigershark and maybe the new 3.2-liter Pentastar. In Europe, the 200 will be sold by Lancia as the Flavia sedan. There, the V6 model will likely not be offered and maybe a diesel will take its place.
