Audi has great plans for the next-generation TT sportscar, which is being developed to match and beat its segment rivals. And to do that, the German automaker is benchmarking a TT prototype against a Peugeot RCZ, a BMW Z4 and a Mercedes-Benz SLK, as the spyshots sent to us by our photographers reveal.
What's more, Audi could even try to deprive the Peugeot RCZ R - the fastest front-wheel drive production car - from its title, but developing a vehicle that reaches 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standing start in less than 5.9 seconds is more difficult than it sounds. Guess we'll just have to wait and find out.
Getting back to our photos, the fully camouflaged TT shows very little, but it seems the sportscar will arrive with a wider front grille and thinner headlamps. The front end is also a bit longer when compared to the current generation model, while the taillights have been restyled to fit Ingolstadt's new trend.
