Mercedes is currently working full throttle to refresh its light commercial vehicle line-up, with one of the vehicles that will benefit from this move being the Viano. The passenger version of the Vito, which will obviously receive the same changes, is set to get a new generation, with the carmaker planning to introduce radical changes.
Thus, the vehicle will follow the current trend in its segment in terms of design, which means that it will adopt a more car-like face. This won’t just enhance its looks, but also increase the pedestrian safety level of the vehicle.

The same trend will be follows inside, where the Vito will be brought closer to a family vehicle rather than an utilitarian one. The new Viano, which is scheduled to enter the market in the course of the following year, will also borrow BlueEfficiency engines from the company’s passenger cars.
