Our spy photographers must have had a really good chance to push their image stabilizers and telescopic lenses to the extreme with this one. It’s the new Mercedes Benz GL-Class spotted in AMG form as it was being used for an official shoot.
The GL is sort of like the wagon version of the new ML, with a much larger body and seating for seven people as standard. The new generation looks very much like a C- or E-Class, since it has rounded headlights and only two bars on the grille.

The engine range for this SUV with people skills will be borrowed from the ML, which means you’ll start off with a 302 hp 3.5-liter V6 in the GL350 and work your way up to either the clean diesel in the form of a 240 hp 3.0-liter lump (GL350 BlueTec), or something a bit more powerful ,the GL550 that will get the 429 hp from its twin-turbocharged 4.6-liter V8. Since this is a G 63 AMG you’re looking at, it should come with the 518 hp version of the 5.5-liter V8 as standard.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
