Spyshots: 2010 BMW 3-Series Coupe Facelift
As you can see for yourselves, there are only minor differences between the current and the future Coupe, with the minor modifications covered by plastic covers. The first noticeable upgrade is the restyled front bumper which will probably house slightly redesigned fog lights placed in outer edges. At the same time, the car comes with redesigned rear bumper and tailights.
Technical details regarding the engines are yet to be released but, judging by the similarities between the current and the upcoming models, the new Coupe is likely to rely on basically the same engines. The current 3-Series Coupe is offered in a choice of seven engines, starting with the 320i and 320d and ending with the 335d and 335i.
The 335i configuration for instance produces a maximum power of 306 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, while helping the car jump from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. The maximum speed is rated at 155.3 mph (250 km/h) while fuel consumption reaches 17.8 mpg (13.2 L/100Km) in city and 35.1 mpg (6.7 L/100Km) in highway conditions.
That being said, we're still waiting for official details sourced from BMW, probably closer to this year's Frankfurt Motor Show, which is expected to witness the first public appearance of the new Coupe.
