Sportec Refines the Porsche 911 Turbo
The 911 has received discreet aerodynamic elements: a redesigned front fascia, new side skirts and a more generous rear spoiler. Owners who want a higher level of customization, can choose the optional carbon rear wing, exterior mirrors and air intakes.
The vehicle's interior comes with a new set of bucket seats and features subtle changes, such as aluminum pedals and foot supports.
The 3.8 liter boxer engine has been tweaked to produce 580 hp (at 6,150 rpm) and 650 Nm of torque (between 1,950 and 5,000 rpm). The new figure has been achieved through the use of a new ECU software. This gives the Sportec SP580 the ability to leave the first hundred (62 mph) behind in 3.2 seconds, and deal with the 200 km/h (125 mp/h) mark in 10.3 seconds. The car reaches a top speed of 323 km/h (202 mph).
The tuner has also upgraded the 911’s suspension system, fitting custom springs that lower the car by 20 mm. The company also offers a lowering module for the vehicles equipped with the Porsche Active Suspension Management System. The braking system has been replaced with a high performance one that uses 6 piston calipers for the front axle and 4 piston calipers for the rear one.
The Sportec SP580 uses light Mono 7 alloy rims that come in a 20 inch size. These are wrapped in Michelin PS sport rubber.
