Spiderman-Wrapped McLaren 570S Drag Races Porsche 911 GT3 Dressed as Deadpool

While this applies to most vehicles out there, when it comes to supercars judging a book by its MSRP can be a mistake with serious consequences. Let's take the McLaren 570S and the Porsche 911 GT3, for instance.

In theory, the Zuffenhausen machine sits at a hefty $50,000 lower than Woking's Sports Series model, so you'd expect this to translate into the kind of performance difference that can't be ignored.

Additionally, the McLaren has a better power-to-weight ratio, with its twin-turbo V8 also delivering more torque compared to the naturally atmospheric flat-six of the Neunelfer.

Nevertheless, the two play in the same quarter mile league - truth be told, the Mac can deliver mid-10s runs, while the Porsche will stop at low-11s adventures.

Even so, the Porsche will win the acceleration tests up to 80 mph, mostly due to the considerable rear tire section difference between the two (the Porsche 911 GT3 packs 305s while the Mclaren 570S has 285s).

Once the two pass that velocity, the details mentioned above mean the McLaren takes over. However, you should keep in mind that both machines can hit 200 mph (320+ km/h).

Now, the video below has a good part and bad one. We'll start with the negative side, which sees the two machines fidgeting at the starting line until the McLaren driver is fed up with it and goes for an early start. Even so, you should check out the times at the end of the race, not the distance between the cars.

As for the positive side, these two octane gods met at the 2016 goldRush Rally (taking place as you are reading this) and both owners were willing to draw tons of attention. As a result, the GT3 was dressed as Deadpool, while the 570S went for a Spiderman theme. We're not sure the choices suit your tastes, but the battle is worth your attention.
