Sox and Martin Collector Series Hemi Cuda Released

Ronnie Sox and Buddy Martin are two figures which have heavily influenced the late 1960s era of the NHRA Super Stock and Pro Stock drag racing, as they collected dozens of wins with their “infamous” Hemi-powered Plymouths that wore the red, white and blue colors.

To pay a tribute to the legendary duo, Mr. Norm’s Garage has decided to build a limited Sox & Martin collector’s edition Dodge Challenger, as autoblog reports.

The vehicle, dubbed “Sox and Martin Collector Series Hemi Cuda”, is available in three power levels, starting with the Super Street Edition, which offers 625 horsepower. This is followed by the Super Stock edition that lets the driver play with 725 hp. The ultimate incarnation of the muscle car is the Pro Stock Edition, which delivers a whopping 900 hp.

The muscle racer for the street is “instantly recognizable”, as it wears the same red, white and blue paint scheme and period correct Sox & Martin graphics as the original NHRA Pro Stock National Championship winning Hemi Cuda.

True enthusiasts can play with the car’s optional extras list and order Cuda style quarter panels, a modern interpretation of the 1971 Cuda grille & tail panel and an aggressive hood scoop inspired by that installed on the original drag racer.

The interior of the Challenger gets custom leather seating with the Sox & Martin Supercars shield embroidered on the seats. In addition to that, each Sox & Martin Collectors Series Hemi Cuda is personally signed by Buddy Martin and has a special fender plaque that identifies its equipment and S&M serial number.
