Self-balancing mono-wheel personal transportation is a thing we run into more and more often, and Solowheel is one of the extremely cool such vehicles. This awesome 1-wheeler is available for under $2,000 (€1,436) and it might be just the right toy for the daily roads to work in urban areas.
Solowheel comes with a 10 mile (16 km) range on a full charge and this means quite a convenient feature. The max speed in 10 mph (16 km/k), which equals effortless pedaling on a bicycle on flat terrain, but still almost triple the speed of normal walking.

The LiFePO4, 122 Wh battery can be recharged in 1.5 hours and this makes it extremely convenient. The direct drive motor can carry a person weighting 220 lbs (99 kg) and can climb a 15-degree incline.

With 1000 charging cycles for the battery, the Solowheel provides plenty of fun until needing service. And the very construction provides good shielding from water and dirt when riding in the wet, too. Watch the video video after the jump for more info and learning the basics of riding the Solowheel. Available at Inventist and in Europe, too.
