Skoda: You Simply Must Build the Tudor Coupe
But Skoda could potentially pull it off… if they really wanted to. Introducing the Skoda Tudor Concept from 2002. Stop scratching your eyes, it’s very real. The car was shown at the Geneva Motor Show a decade ago, based on the Skoda Superb limousine of the time, and we still love it.
You see, the reason we don’t like the idea of a Rapid coupe is that it’s not big enough, and VW has a tendency to give their lesser engines to Skoda. But this thing had a sports tuned chassis and six-cylinder engine under its bonnet. Big and powerful, that’s how it’s done!
Of course, we’re realists, and we don’t think this can actually make money. You see, for years Renault teased us with concepts of what its coupe could look like, and when it came out it was brilliant, and we even bough one! But did it become the phenomenon it deserved to be? Not really.
